ATLANTA, Dec. 14, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Thomas L. Holder, Georgia labor injury attorney and co-founder of the Atlanta Law of Gerber & Holder Workers’ Compensation Attorneys, has been selected as a recipient of the Comp Laude® 2020 by WorkCompCentral selected award in the applicant / applicant’s lawyer category.
“It is a great honor to win this award,” said Holder. “Many thanks to Kristin Chavez of WorkCompCentral for leading and organizing the Comp Laude Awards, Tammy Boyd for trusting me to nominate, and our State Board of Workers’ Compensation Chair, Frank McKay, for writing on my behalf. I would also like to thank my longtime partner Jim Long and my current partner Ben Gerber for creating an environment in which I could do the work that won this award. “
This year’s awards ceremony, originally scheduled to take place at the Pasèa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, California, took place virtually on Thursday, December 3rd. Thirteen award winners were recognized online for outstanding contributions to employee accident insurance.
The Comp Laude® Awards, named after the Latin phrase “cum laude” commonly used in academic settings, are a coveted award in the workers’ compensation industry. Candidates are nominated by their peers in recognition of their significant contributions to the industry.
This year, WorkCompCentral received over 220 nominations from across the United States in 10 categories: Injured Worker, Claimant / Plaintiffs Attorney, Defense Lawyer, Medic, Industry Leader, Employer, Service Provider / Supplier, Claims Handler, Work Company, Agent / Broker, and some write-in categories.
