If you think you might need legal counsel and you want to find out for sure, the Jacksonville Bar Association can help.

For an administrative fee of $ 50, the JBA lawyer referral service offers a 30-minute consultation with an association member who can answer questions.

Legal topics that may be discussed include bankruptcy, collections matters, foreclosure, eviction and other landlord / tenant matters, family law, personal injury, labor matters, personal injury, and criminal law.

If you decide after the consultation that you need further legal services, you can hire the lawyer you have consulted or another lawyer of your choice. The type and amount of fees that may be charged to you for additional services can be negotiated between you and your lawyer.

The service is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
