Personal Injury Cases Step-by-Step | Legal Matters

Today David Greene is going to take us through a typical personal injury case and give you a behind-the-scenes look at how it’s treated from start to finish.

The following questions and answers were provided by Greene & Phillips:

What can someone expect who comes into your office and is in pain from an injury?

We take customer service seriously, so we offer you a drink, get basic information from you, and then meet with a lawyer to discuss your case, answer your questions, and share your options.

Suppose they decide to move on with their case and discontinue Greene & Phillips. Is there a fee?

We don’t charge anything in advance. We get paid by getting money for our customers.

What happens next after your first meeting with the client?

We’ll start investigating your case. We will check the facts and collect evidence to support your claim, we will get your accident report, we will find out information about your insurance and the other driver’s insurance. We enter all of this into our case management system and assign the client to a case manager and a lawyer. You are the main contact for this person for the duration of the case. If our client has not yet seen a doctor, we will make sure they see a doctor or chiropractor to examine their injuries and begin treatment. We will then check the client from time to time to see how the recovery process is going.

What happens after a customer finishes their medical treatment?

As soon as a customer has completed their medical treatment, we ask them to let us know as soon as possible. We can then start ordering medical records and invoices. At this stage we create a demand for the insurance company.

What is the next step when the insurance company has received the demand?

Then your lawyer will begin to negotiate the case. We know the value of the case and will not allow the insurance company to offer our customers less than they deserve. As soon as the offer is agreed, your lawyer will move.

After a case is settled, does it take a long time to complete the final review?

When the case is resolved, we need to complete the handover. Here we can negotiate your bills in connection with the accident. In most cases, this doesn’t take long.

If our viewers have any further questions, how can they contact you?

You can call us at 300-2000 or stop by our office at 51 North Florida Street. You never need an appointment!
