The Dallas office is headed by Ellen Van Meir, a seasoned and respected insurance attorney with years of experience who advises primary and self-insurers on coverage and claims handling. Prior to joining Nicolaides, Ellen served for more than two decades as head of the insurance protection and litigation practice group at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP and a member of the firm’s administrative committee. Recognized as the premier insurance lawyer by Chambers USA since 2013, she was named “Attorney of the Year” in Insurance Law and Litigation – Insurance by Best Lawyers® in Dallas in 2021. Partner Ellen Mariah Quiroz and Associate Conor McCall join Ellen to establish the Dallas office.
