Attorney Kerri Rupert joins SC Law Firm McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates | News

COLOMBIA, SC, June 10, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of an attorney Kerri Rupert. She comes to the firm with a strong track record as a litigator.

After a successful career as an insurance defense attorney, Rupert will work in all areas of personal injury law.

“Before I came to McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, I defended claims against insurance companies – but I often felt for people on the other side. I’ve always had a lot of empathy for them, for the losses they suffered, ”said Rupert.

Previously, she worked as a lawyer at commercial defense law firms in Columbia. Rupert previously worked as a personnel attorney at South carolina Appeals court. During her law degree, she worked as a trainee lawyer for the State House of Representatives.

For the past five years, Rupert worked on a pro bono appeal project with the South Carolina Bar Association that eventually resulted in her client’s conviction being overturned in the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Rupert was named one of the best insurance defenders in the state at the Columbia Business Monthly Awards in 2018 and 2019, and she was elected to the South Carolina Bar Association’s Leadership Academy in 2016. It was also published in SC Lawyer Magazine.

Rupert looks forward to her new chapter as a personal injury attorney with McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates.

Rupert received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina in 2006. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012 where she was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe.
