Meet Kyle Newman, Leading New York Personal Injury Attorney And Medical Malpractice Trial Attorney – Press Release

BRONX, NY / ACCESSWIRE / Jan 30, 2021 / Kyle Newman is one of the most sought-after personal injury attorneys in New York at just 37 years old. His passion for justice and savvy litigation techniques have made him 100 million in settlements and judgments over the past 13 years.

Over the past year, he’s fully embraced the move to digital and is actively working to educate other lawyers about the benefits of using test technology to better serve their clients.

How did you get into the legal profession?

KN: The law has always been in my blood, I’m a third generation personal injury attorney and I’m proud to serve as the Senior Trial Counsel in our family firm, James Newman, PC, almost mine Father James was founded 40 years ago. From a young age I was fascinated by puzzles and their solutions. Personal injury and medical malpractice suits are a mystery to me. There is an infinite amount of evidence to consider and I am determined to make sure that evidence fits together and is presented to the jury in a way that makes sense and produces results.

When did you start as a trial lawyer?

KN: I only started as a trial attorney two weeks after starting at James Newman, PC. I had worked for various law firms during my law school as well as for the Nassau County prosecutor’s office, and when I first started working my father saw something in me immediately and realized that I would do well in a test environment. You could say I was thrown down, but I thrived. I fell in love with the courtroom immediately and haven’t looked back since.

What was it like to be such a young trial attorney against lawyers who have been practicing for decades?

KN: I had to earn their respect. But I’ve worked hard and have a few strategies in my toolkit that have allowed me to move forward much faster than anyone else in my shoes. I’ve always loved technology. When I learned about software that allowed lawyers to present evidence from their computers or a projector right in the courtroom, I was immediately intrigued. I found this visual element very convincing to the juries. I was able to actively present evidence and switch between images in real time. It allowed me to start a conversation with my witness or plaintiff without being distracted, flipping through slides, or trying to come up with a piece of inflated evidence.

When did you start implementing technology in your experiments and why?

KN: I’ve been using trial technology for over 10 years. In 2019, my beautiful wife was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma. This was a huge shock to our whole family and threw us into a year. She is the strongest person I know, and she fought it so gracefully. She is now completely cancer free, but it’s been a tough year between taking care of our three year old son. At the same time, I had the greatest year of my professional life. I was in the midst of a medical misconduct lawsuit in which the defendants, who refused to offer money at the beginning of the trial, settled for over $ 6 million after my cross-examination with the defendant doctors. I relied heavily on my testing technology on this one, and there is no question that my presentation had a massive impact on the outcome.

In 2020 when the pandemic broke out, I had more time and decided to set up a master class for other lawyers to learn the value of litigation technology. I’ve been working on this for the last year and I’m excited to get the technology into the hands of other lawyers who I think could benefit greatly from it.
