Injured in a video game? Attorney Bryan Breynolds, no relation to ‘Free Guy’ star Ryan Reynolds, is here for you

The plight of the poor NPC – that is, non-player characters in the background of games like Grand Theft Auto – takes center stage Ryan Reynolds‘upcoming movie, Free Guy.

In the film, Reynolds plays one of them, a bank clerk named Guy – and, as NPCs often do, Guy is often the victim of random crimes by online gamers.

Ultimately, however, there is a law firm advocating for these beleaguered characters: The Bryan Breynolds Offices.

In a take-off of cheesy TV slip-and-fall lawyer commercials, a mustache Reynolds asks injured NPCs, “Have you ever been shot, beaten, thrown in flames, hit by a train, or emotionally humiliated?” We can tell you when you have a case. “

You can trust him: he calls himself the Xbox NPC number 1 personal injury law firm all over Free City – the video game Guy unwittingly considers his true home.

Free Guy hits theaters on August 13th from 20th Century Studios, owned by Disney, parent company of ABC News.
